A brand-new breakfast show is coming to the North East as The 8 O’Clock Breakfast Club with Andy, Kyle & Guests launches on Affinity Radio North East.
Broadcast weekdays from 8am until 10am, Andy and Kyle will get your morning started with a lively mix of the latest stories we’re waking up to, local news from across the North East, great music, funny banter and plenty of conversation.
They’ll also be joined by special guests, from local personalities and community organisations to businesses and people making a difference across our region.
Whether you’re heading to work, doing the school run or starting your day at home, join Andy, Kyle and the Breakfast Club for two hours of local radio with a proper North East feel.
About the presenters
Andy Sutton
Andy Sutton brings years of broadcasting experience and a genuine love of radio to The 8 O’Clock Breakfast Club. His career has included working in North East radio, including Galaxy, giving him plenty of experience of fast-paced, entertaining commercial radio.
Now a familiar voice on Affinity Radio, Andy combines quick wit, conversation and a distinctly North East sense of humour. Expect plenty of laughs, opinions on the stories everyone is waking up to and the occasional bit of chaos when he teams up with Kyle.
Kyle Scott
Kyle Scott is the founder and CEO of Affinity Media NE CIC and has been involved in North East community radio since he was a teenager. His broadcasting journey began at NE1fm, Newcastle and Gateshead’s former community radio station, where he presented a range of programmes including drivetime and took part in outside broadcasts. In 2019, Kyle founded the organisation that would eventually become Affinity Media NE CIC, helping grow it from a small online operation into Affinity Radio North East, broadcasting on DAB+ across Newcastle, Gateshead, South Shields and Tynemouth.
Kyle is known for his relaxed, sometimes unpredictable presenting style and passion for the North East. Alongside Andy, he’ll bring local stories, laughs, guests and plenty of morning banter to the Breakfast Club.
Andy + Kyle = expect the unexpected!
They’ve got different personalities, different broadcasting backgrounds and probably different ideas about what should happen next — which is exactly the point.
